IV Vitamin/Mineral Therapy

IV vitamin/mineral therapy is an effective method to deliver safe and healthy doses of natural vitamins and minerals by way of the circulatory system. Intravenous administration of vitamins and minerals boosts the levels in your body much more effectively than oral supplementation. This is the major benefit of IV therapy.

Myers Cocktail

The Myers Cocktail was created by the late John D. Myers, MD who used intravenous vitamins and minerals to treat a wide range of clinical conditions. Not only is it popular for producing an overall sense of well-being, it has been used effectively in treating acute asthma attacks, migraines, fatigue (including chronic fatigue syndrome), fibromyalgia, acute muscle spasm, upper respiratory tract infections, chronic sinusitis, seasonal allergic rhinitis, cardiovascular disease, and other disorders. The “Cocktail” is made of Vitamin C, magnesium, calcium, vitamins B5 and B6, and B-complex in a ratio that is easily absorbed by the body.
Time: 20-40 min.

Vitamin/Mineral IV

The Vitamin/Mineral IV is used to deliver IV nutrients effectively to those in need of a bigger "boost” than the Myers Cocktail can provide. Made up of everything in a Myers Cocktail plus selenium, zinc, potassium, chromium, folic acid, and trace minerals, the Vitamin/Mineral IV energizes the body and strengthens immune system function.
Time: 45min to 1hr

High Vitamin C

A slow intravenous infusion is used to deliver high doses of Vitamin C and other nutrients. At a lower dosage, Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant with important functions in the body's immune response, wound healing, and recycling of other antioxidants. At high doses, Vitamin C has the ability to induce oxidative damage to cells, encourages cancer cells to self-destruct, boost the immune system (great for serious flu cases and chronic infections), and assist in detoxification.
Time: Up to 3hrs

IV Vitamin C is of great benefit in the following conditions:

  • Heart disease
  • Hepatitis
  • Detoxification
  • Anti-viral
  • Chemotherapeutic agent
  • Hypertension
  • Diabetes
  • Anti-bacterial
  • Removing heavy metals

Chelation Therapy

Chelation TherapyThe term "chelation" is derived from the Greek word "chele" which refers to the claw of a crab or lobster, and implies the firm pincer-like binding action of an organic compound to a metal ion (cation). The most widely accepted use of chelation therapy in medicine is for the removal of toxic metals, such as lead and mercury, from the body. A more controversial, but clinically useful indication for chelation therapy is the treatment of all forms of atherosclerotic diseases, including heart, cerebral, and peripheral arteriovascular diseases. Many other degenerative diseases are improved by the benefits of chelation therapy. Both EDTA and DMPS are used as chelating agents, depending on the purpose.
Time: 11/2hrs, 40min

Bio - Oxidative Therapy

Bio - Oxidative TherapyBio - Oxidative Therapy is simply treating the body with extra oxygen. Oxidative therapy can be administered by a few different methods, thus making it a beneficial treatment option for everyone. A broad spectrum of conditions are treated with oxidative therapy, to include acute and chronic infections, acute and chronic viral diseases, cancer, stroke, inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's and ulcerative colitis, just to name a few.

Major Ozone Autohemotherapy

Major Ozone autohemotherapy uses medical grade ozone (O3) to deliver super-enriched oxygen at the cellular level. During the procedure, about 1 cup of blood is drawn from the patient from an IV, ozonated, and then returned via the same IV. Now the blood is equipped with what it needs to carry out its functions as a bactericidal, virucidal, antifungal, and antiprotozoan therapeutic agent.
Time: 45min-1hr

Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation

UVBI is more commonly known for its anti-microbial properties that are used in treating municipal water supplies. Medicine has used the therapeutic effects of ultraviolet light since 1928. In addition to its ability to eliminate pathogens, UVBI also has a profound effect upon the immune system and various enzyme systems throughout the body. Treatment requires that blood be drawn from the patient, heparinized (to prevent clotting), exposed to the ultraviolet light, and then re-infused back to the patient. This treatment has numerous indications
Time: 45min

Ozone autohemotherapy and UVBI are often used together, with the ozonated blood receiving ultraviolet irradiation as it returns into the body.

Lyme treatment: PK Protocol (IV Phospholipids)

One of the most challenging difficulties in detoxification is detoxifying the brain and Central Nervous System after exposure to neurotoxins from infection, toxic mold, chemicals and heavy metals. Polymorphism of methylation enzymes may occur after toxic exposure, impacting DNA expression, detoxification, neurotransmitter balance, myelination, growth and rejuvenation in both adult and pediatric populations.

The toxic burden becomes overwhelming as the patient's methylation and essential fatty acid status, along with cellular function, are all compromised.

The PK Protocol, developed by Dr. Patricia Kane, provides a safe and efficient detoxification method through targeted supplementation and intravenous therapy, by supporting membrane phospholipids, methylation and sulfation, which are crucial for positive patient outcomes. The approach to detoxification is from a cell membrane perspective, with respect to essential fatty acid metabolism, establishing phospholipid stability. Thus the health of the cell, the body and the brain are stabilized.

The PK Protocol is a new, clinically proven method to reach the systemic nature of neurotoxic and toxic syndromes and is applicable for patients presenting with refractory heavy metal burdens, microbial infections, toxic mold exposure, CFIDS, Lyme, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, IBS, autism, ALS, psychosis, stroke, environmental illness, mood disorders, hypercoagulation, Parkinson's, cardiovascular disease, Hepatitis C and to increase longevity.

Detoxifying Lyme by Patricia Kane, Ph.D.

"In our experience, patients with Lyme often suffer for many years without significant response to medical intervention for their illness. The brain fog, joint pain, intense fatigue, poor memory/concentration, and disorientation continue endlessly with course after course of antibiotic therapy.

"In our clinic we begin with an innovative protocol to mobilize and remove Lyme along with co-infections that complicate the patients' progress. Lyme is a fat soluble infection that may reside in fatty tissue, the liver, the biliary tree and gall bladder. Hidden in the fatty tissue rather than in blood, testing for Lyme results in negative findings whether PCR, ELISA (IgG, IgM), Lyme Dot Blot, or Reverse Western Blot is utilized. Treatment procedures must be targeted towards removal of deeply embedded infection in the liver, biliary tree and gall bladder.

"We monitor Lyme patients with some basic testing: Chem 28, CBC, Body Bio Red Cell Lipid Analysis, Urinary Neurotransmitters and the Visual Contrast Test. Our regimen includes dietary changes with emphasis on nutrient dense foods such as seeds, nuts, free-range eggs, balanced 4:1 omega 6 to omega 3 oil, organic protein foods, and green leafy vegetables. All grain/flour, sugar, processed foods, and hydrogenated fats are removed. Supplementation is targeted towards cleansing the liver with the short chain fat butyrate and phosphatidylcholine. Building a strong nutritional foundation is paramount and is accomplished by raising the mineral base, stabilizing the electrolytes, increasing and balancing the essential fatty acid status. We administer appropriate catalysts (vitamins, minerals) and substrates (lipid, amino acids) indicated by the patients' test results.

"We begin IV therapy on a weekly or biweekly basis with IV Phospholipid Exchange with Essentiale N as 500 mg and follow with a Glutathione Fast Push 1800-2500 mg. Response to IV therapy in Lyme patients usually takes approximately 7 infusions for significant improvement in symptoms. It is essential that a nutrient dense, low carbohydrate diet and appropriate supplementation is utilized. Two to three times weekly patients are asked to perform an Oral Liver Flush with 2 Tablespoons of PhosChol, one capsule of Ox Bile, and several capsules of TOA free Cat's Claw herb.

"Patient outcomes have been positive in every instance with good compliance of recommended therapy."

PK Protocol at Diamond Springs

  • Testing as per Dr. Moore, depending on symptoms and previous testing, but often including CMP, CBC, lipid panel, thyroid, vitamin d, hormones, neurotransmitters, co-infections, testing for heavy metals and environmental toxins, fatty acid analysis and possibly allergies.
  • Diet: Candida program for two weeks with medication if not previously treated. No grains, no sugar, no processed foods or food additives, no hydrogenated fats. Allowed foods are eggs, small portions of meat (esp. slow cooked/falling apart such as in crock pot with good broth), seeds and nuts, legumes, vegetables—especially high color and green vegetables, good oils.
  • Supplements depend on testing, but generally include SuperMulti Plus, Adrenal Stress Relief, Liver/Gallbladder Formula, Pain and Inflammation Cooler, amino acids and omegas per testing, probiotics, Co Q10, colostrum and Immune Herbs
  • We start the protocol with a liver/gallbladder flush and then twice a week a minor flush with 2 Digestion GB, 2 phosphatadylcholine, and 2 Cat's Claw.
  • IV therapy two times/week: Day one the IV phospholipid and glutathione, the second day major ozone autohemotherapy, ultraviolet therapy and Myer's IV vitamin/mineral. Can get all on one day but will often cause a greater Hirscheimer reaction.
